Rosemary Tea: A Traditional Herbal Drink for Comfort and Wellness

Rosemary has been treasured for centuries as both a culinary herb and a traditional wellness ingredient. Its fragrant aroma and refreshing flavor have made it a favorite in herbal teas, infused waters, and home remedies around the world.

Social media often refers to rosemary as “natural morphine” and claims it can eliminate joint pain, rheumatism, and gout. While rosemary contains beneficial plant compounds, no  herb has been proven to work like morphine or instantly cure chronic pain conditions.

Rosemary contains naturally occurring compounds, including:

Ingredients

  • 1–2 fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 2 cups  water
  • 1 teaspoon  honey (optional)
  •  Lemon slice (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the Rosemary

 

Rinse the rosemary thoroughly under cool water.

Step 2: Boil the Water

Bring the water to a gentle boil.

Step 3: Add the Rosemary

Place the rosemary sprigs into the hot water.

Step 4: Steep

Allow the mixture to steep for 5–10 minutes.

Step 5: Strain

Remove the rosemary and pour the tea into a cup.

Step 6: Serve

Add honey or lemon if desired and enjoy warm.
